[DRAFT — pending management and legal review before this policy is treated as final.]
Our Commitment
Dunes Academy maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form, on campus and within our residential boarding facilities, in line with applicable Indian regulations governing educational institutions.
What Constitutes Ragging
Ragging includes any act, verbal or physical, that causes embarrassment, humiliation, physical or psychological harm, or unreasonable pressure to a student, whether by senior students, peers, or any other individual, whether committed on campus, in hostels, or during school-related activities.
Zero-Tolerance Statement
Any act of ragging, in any form, will not be tolerated. Students, staff, and residential care personnel are expected to actively discourage and report any instance of ragging they witness or become aware of.
Reporting Mechanism
Any student, parent, or staff member who experiences or witnesses ragging is encouraged to report it immediately to the School’s designated Grievance Redressal Committee, via our Contact Us page or WhatsApp. Reports are treated in confidence and investigated promptly.
Consequences
Any student found responsible for ragging will be subject to disciplinary action as determined by School management, which may range from a formal warning to suspension or expulsion, depending on the severity of the incident, in accordance with the School’s disciplinary rules and applicable law.
