Two Paths, One Goal
Stream selection is made at the time of admission to Class XI — here’s a quick look at both before the full detail below.
Science Stream
PCM or PCB, with structured JEE and NEET guidance — for engineering, medical, and research aspirants.
Commerce Stream
Accountancy, Business Studies & Economics — for finance, management, and entrepreneurship aspirants.
Science Stream
The Science stream prepares students for careers in medicine, engineering, technology, and research. Taught by subject specialists in well-equipped laboratories, the curriculum follows the CBSE board framework and develops both conceptual clarity and practical problem-solving skills. Students choose one of two CBSE-approved combinations:
- PCM — Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English (Core), with Physical Education / Informatics Practices as an optional fifth subject. Suited to engineering and technology aspirants.
- PCB — Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English (Core), with Mathematics / Physical Education as an optional fifth subject. Suited to medical and life-science aspirants.
Science stream students receive structured guidance for JEE and NEET alongside their CBSE preparation, with regular unit tests, pre-board assessments, and doubt-clearing sessions built into the academic calendar. Practical sessions run throughout the year in fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories.
Commerce Stream
The Commerce stream develops financial literacy, business acumen, and analytical thinking — preparing students for careers in finance, management, law, and entrepreneurship. Commerce is taught as a living subject, connecting classroom learning to real-world business scenarios students will encounter in their careers.

- Mathematics (Applied) or Informatics Practices (optional)
Mathematics is not compulsory in Commerce, though Applied Mathematics is available and recommended for students considering banking, data analysis, chartered accountancy, or actuarial science. Students who prefer not to take Mathematics can complete Class XI and XII Commerce successfully without it.
Choosing the Right Stream
Neither stream is universally “better” — the right choice depends on a student’s strengths, interests, and long-term goals. Science suits students who enjoy analytical and logical problem-solving; Commerce suits those drawn to business, finance, and people-oriented careers. Stream selection is made at the time of admission to Class XI, and changing streams after Class XI begins is generally not permitted under CBSE norms, so it is worth making a considered choice at the outset.

Science stream graduates typically move on to engineering colleges via JEE, medical and allied health programmes via NEET, or pure sciences and research degrees. Commerce graduates commonly pursue Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretaryship, BBA and MBA programmes, banking and finance careers, or law — with Business Studies and Economics building the analytical foundation for each of these paths.
